Sunday at the Villa's beautifully elegant Amelia top is named for Amelia Earhart, the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. The front panel is made from an original WWII silk pilot's map, and the back is 1930s silk crepe in palest ice blue, with contrast colour binding detail in taupe too.
Amelia has a high neckline at the front, and a dramatic scoop neckline at the back. It actually works really well reversed too, so you get two very strong looks in one.
Every piece from Sunday at the Villa is utterly unique, with each style reflecting the beauty of the vintage textiles that have been used to create them. Jo cleverly repurposes a combination of antique home and fashion textiles, alongside vintage trims, to give them a whole new life. Each silhouette is designed to ensure the very least waste is left once a new style is created.
Size: each Sunday at the Villa piece is utterly unique, and is one size that works from an 8 to 14 (see our size guide). On a size 8-10, the fit will be quite loose, quite an easy fit on a 12, and neater on a 14. For reference, the models are a size 8/10 and around 5'8".
