These spike detailed pots have each been hand shaped individually, and then finished with prickly surface decoration in a variety of patterns. When grouped together they reminded us of a desert grove of cacti!
These are wheel-thrown and hand 'studded' in organic-inspired shapes, painted with deep green slip and then over-glazed in clear for a glossy finish which means they are watertight should you want to use them as a vase.
Created by Lucy (aka Belle) in a sustainably minded ceramics studio in London, made using British stoneware clay. Each is utterly unique and totally charming. We love them in groups or singly.
Size: Small ranging from 6cm-7.5cm high (prickle, agave, ickle prickle). Tall ranging from 8.5cm-10cm high (cholla, prickly pear, spike, peyote, barbary, sharpy, pitaya).
Our values and this product:
- Minimal waste, pollutants and emissions
- Limited edition
- Conserving traditions
- Made in the UK
Made by hand in a West London-based ceramics studio with extremely high standards in material reclaiming and waste water purification. These are dishwasher safe and also food safe (although the spikes mean they wouldn't make comfortable cups...).
