Peshtemals are also called hammam towels as they are the traditional style of towel used in Turkish hammams, also known as Turkish baths, where they were used to allow bathers with a little modesty as well as being so brilliantly absorbent yet fast drying.
All Kin & Kloth towels are handwoven by Turkish artisans using traditional wooden shuttle looms. They are made using only 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, dyes and finishes. By purchasing one of these towels you are helping to protect this dying art of traditional handweaving in Turkey, whilst also supporting a livelihood for these artisans and their families.
