Aerende's three gently fragranced candles are made with natural rapeseed wax and scented with unique combinations of essential oils which have been combined to evoke particular natural landscapes. This candle is named 'Braeden'. It's an Olde English word meaning forest, which references the warming, green scent of pine, cedar and bergamot. There's a fabulous soap in this scent, too.
Each candle is hand-poured in Wales by people with learning disabilities at Beacons Creative. All purchases help support this social impact company. The candles are made of rapeseed wax, which is a sustainable and non-toxic alternative to standard paraffin or soya wax, which are more commonly used for candles. The wicks are made from non-toxic cotton and linen, to additionally minimise their environmental impact. They are suitable for indoor or outdoor use and when you're finished with the candle, the glass makes a handy container (or can be easily recycled). The textured boxes come with a letterpressed bellyband with information about the candles and the name of the maker written on them.

Instructions for use:
On first use, ensure that the candle burns long enough to fully melt the top layer of wax. This will avoid tunnelling (and wastage) of wax. Vegetable waxes burn differently than standard paraffin wax and a better burn quality can be maintained if the wick is trimmed before each use. It may sound obvious, but the glass can get hot. We recommend placing on a coaster and leaving to cool before moving.
