Another one-off beauty from Sunday at the Villa, this dress is named Gwen for Jo's Grandmother. The Gwen dress is made from a piece of 1940s table linen and a length of 1920s embroidered tape (used as inserts at the bodice side seams and on the tie straps). The bodice is made from an appliquéd table linen panel which is mirrored front and back. The skirt section is made from a vintage cotton sheet with a blue thread selvedge detail which Jo has placed running around the bottom. With a lovely full skirted shape and tie straps, this is an easy fitting and pretty sun dress.
