This vintage michiyuki-style kimono jacket is geometric in both pattern and silhouette. The michiyuki shape is characterised by a double-breasted fastening, usually using press studs. It's a shape that would have traditionally been worn over a kimono. We think it looks fabulous as a jacket alternative. The outside pattern is a bold geometric design made soft through the tonality of the colours. There's an extra surprise with the lining that features some ultra-cute, chubby babies.
The shape looks lovely fully fastened, part fastened and allowed to drape slightly, or left fully open. There's a small pocket at the front, near the fastenings as shown in the image. There's an internal tie, as well as the front press studs.
It's in exceptionally good condition. We haven't found any marks or damage.
