Deep dive in to Aarven's Wild Olive Wood products

We are delighted to be expanding our collection of Aarven products, after the huge success of their fabulous incense. This partnership reflects our dedication to offering products that are both responsibly sourced and conscientiously produced, which leads us perfectly to introducing the next product additions from Aarven, hand carved in wild olive wood.

What Makes Aarven's Wild Olive Wood Pieces Special?

Aarven's wild olive wood products are all hand carved in a Nairobi workshop run by Zephania, featured in the photo above. The Wild Olive wood is all sustainably sourced from Zephania’s own plantations in his hometown, Kissi, where he continually re-plants trees. Olive wood is naturally less porous than some other woods making it an excellent choice for useful homeware, and the variance in grain and colour from piece to piece means each item is beautifully unique.

Supporting Artisans and Sustainability

Zephania provides housing for the artisans working in his Rongai Workshops, which are situated in the shadow of the Ngong Hills (made famous in Karen Blixen’s novel ‘Out of Africa’). Aarven regularly visit Zephania and collaborate on the design of their collection. Each item in this collection represents a commitment to craftsmanship and individuality, offering timeless pieces you're sure to cherish.
