This ISHKAR Hewn Lapis pendant, gold-plated, showcases a slice of Lapis Lazuli, set in gold-plated sterling silver and hanging from a gold-plated sterling silver chain. It's a really striking combination. Match this with the lovely stack rings.
The Hewn Lapis pendant, gold-plated, is handcrafted in Afghanistan. The deep blue lapis lazuli stone comes from the Sar-e Sang valley in North Eastern Afghanistan.

This piece is produced by master artisans in Afghanistan. Since the Taliban took over in August 2021, we have removed all identifying references of ISHKAR's partners for security reasons. Some of their partners were able to leave Afghanistan. For those who remain, their craft is critical to sustain their livelihoods at a time when the country is in financial collapse and in the grip of a humanitarian disaster, making every purchase of an Afghan-made piece more important now than ever before.
On top of the amount ISHKAR pay the artisans, a further 10% of the value of this product goes towards the Turquoise Mountain Foundation. Turquoise Mountain supports Afghan artisans by providing them with three years of technical training, as well as a full range of business support following graduation.
