All of our P&B ceramics are made in small production runs. As one run sells out there is another in production. This may result in a short wait for yours to be delivered. We'll let you know an ETA if this is the case.
The P&B salt piglets have landed! Have you been watching these in development? First they are thrown on the wheel as a globe shaped bowl using British stoneware clay. Then the bottom is sculpted away to make a more circular shape, and then they are paddled to flatten one side so that the mouth is tilted more forward. After the first firing they are dipped in a milky white glaze and then they are fired again.
They are a smaller shape than traditional salt pigs, hence the calling them 'piglets' instead. Perfect if you have a more compact kitchen. Because they are created one by one, with so many different stages there is a variation in the mouth shape and angle as you can see in the images. Let's say there are cousins rather than identically matching pieces!
