Chinoiserie cushion cover

We’ve named this the Chinoiserie cushion cover as a nod to its dual heritage. The front is resist-printed, antique Chinese indigo interiors textile, most probably created to celebrate a marriage. The back is made from antique French linen metis sheet. We've carefully placed the resist-print pattern of birds and foliage on each Chinoiserie cushion cover.

The fabrics are well-loved and well-laundered textiles, so there are occasional slubs and slight colour variations, which we think only adds to their beauty. Each Chinoiserie cushion cover fastens on the back with three large antique shell buttons.

Indigo is a colour that fades over time and can sometimes transfer on to other materials. Although we have pre-washed this fabric, please take care if in close contact with paler textiles.

All Chinoiserie cushion cover is sold without a fill. Cushion cover fits a standard 55cm insert. These cushion covers can be dry cleaned.
